Transcription Reflection
Transcribing is both a strange and tedious process. To do this for a living you would need three things: good memory, swift writing, and patience; but if you are just doing it as a one off thing then you just need patience. All and all transcribing was an enjoyable experience that I don't wish to do again.
Interview Reflection
the interview was amazing. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to hear the first hand account of Miss Colin's experience but sad that it had to happen to her or to anyone. her story lasted longer than anticipated but it was far to great and she was far to kind to stop her. the story itself was (as anyone who knows anything about the Holocaust) absolutely depressing but inspiring. it was an incredible tale of a teenage girls hardships and struggles to simply survive. i find the part where her barrack is the only one that survives the nazi trick incredible and to top it off she was liberated on her birthday. I wouldn't have had the interview any other way except i might have made it longer if i could. if i could i would do it again.
Colonialism Debate Response
Team 1 argument: Colonialism is good in the long run when it comes to advancing cultures and making money.
Team 1 evidence: The World Today, the integration of our races into one culture, GOOGLE Search, 1990's-2000's,
Team 2 argument: Colonialism is bad and should never have happened for the sake of people who are african american
Team 2 evidence: The World Today, The Civil War, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Slavery, 1950's-1980's,
who won: Group 2, because they described how the greed of man led to a horrible future for african americans.

Mood Space
Grace:
1: The room is dimly lit by the blotted sun, and all that is there is a singular table with poems, black, flowers and a black candle. Grace has cleverly implemented a cleaver combination of both creepy and well put surroundings which made those who entered fell that much more depressed.
2: depression, because
Julian:
1: Walking into julian's room gave the immediate sensation of either extreme joy are overwhelming fear. the fear did not emanate from the room in general but from the fear of what might become of you if you were trapped in the room. all in all once I stopped being absolutely terrified I just started laughing.
2: happy, because
Isabella:
1: When entering Isabella's room you are immediately greeted by a "chaotic" character that spouts out lots and lots of nonsense. if you weren't as busy as i was trying to figure out what everything symbolized you would easily tell that the mood was confusion and chaos.

journal Thing Fall Apart ch.20-24
Christianity plays a huge role in "Things Fall Apart" by adding a problem that the natives at first believe insignificant but then realize that it may unfold into something more while the reader bears the knowledge that this will lead to both bloodshed and torment of an entire race of people.
Christianity effected Okonkwo's people by defying their culture and doing what the tribesmen believed was imposable. It made Umuofia think that the settlers "God" was protecting them from the evils of the dark forest and from the attacks against the church. This made Umuofia believe that the settlers were right and that there may be or is an all powerful, Devine being while others kept to the old ways and shunned the people who now follow the christian church.
My thoughts about all of this is that Umuofia are going to be slaughtered after a number of years which will make any survivors either hate themselves or hate the world. I also believe that on Okonkwo's return he will be harassed and mocked by Umuofia for not following their belief system and for not repenting.
